GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING SERVICES 


The Guidance Office of Lapu-Lapu City College provides a supportive function in the total school system by directing and controlling activities to help each student develop his full potential. It serves to assist each individual to become a fully functioning person, capable of maintaining healthy social relationships, performing as a responsible citizen of the community, and capable of being a part of the larger society and contributing to the society. 

It facilitates students’ self-understanding, self-development and change of behavior. It provides a learning process by which the counselor helps a student resolve some felt
difficulties or needs.

This service makes available to students a certain kind of information not ordinarily provided through instructional program or during the regular period of instruction. The information is provided directly or through referrals from adequate sources outside the school.

 This service is a mechanism of gathering student data through tests, cumulative records, and other non-test techniques to facilitate better understanding of students.

This aims to screen the student-applicants to determine for those who are qualified for admission to the college.

Evaluation will be used to improve the made activity. After every final exam, the guidance office administers a student assessment survey to gauge teacher performance at the end of
each semester.

This service includes those types of services concerned with the follow-up of plans, agreements and decision reached in counseling.
