The scholarship services are extended to give an opportunity to poor but deserving students
of Lapu-Lapu City College. Subject to the general rules promulgated by the Administration and
as approved by the Board of Trustees, the school shall accept scholarship grants from any
private or public institutions or individuals.
2.1 The office is mandated to provide services related to the student scholarships awarded either
by the college or other government and private agencies as well as individual philanthropists.
Functions and Services of Scholarship Unit:
A. Accept scholarships or grants from public and private agencies, philanthropic
individuals and civic organizations.
B. Develops criteria and procedures for the selection of scholars/grantees and
assists the funding agencies to pre-screen applicants.
C. Coordinates with the Office of the College Registrar in the preparation of enrolment
and grade reports of grantees and with the Accounting Office.
D. Coordinates with the Guidance and Counseling Office in providing counseling to the
scholars on their problems that might affect their studies.
E. Monitors scholars’ academic performance to ensure that the scholarship or
assistance is given to appropriate and deserving recipients.
F. Orients first year students and transferees regarding scholarships and publishes
information on various scholarship grants available for students.
2.3 LLCC Scholarship are classified into:
A. Philippine American Association of North Carolina (PAANC)
B. Tulong-Dunong Program (TDP-TES)
C. Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES)
D. Ched Scholarship Program (CSP)
